Local police are investigating a troubling find.
On Friday (July 21), mutilated cat remains were reported to the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP. They were found on the walking trail near the intersection of 94 Street, parallel to Highway 21.
RCMP have confirmed the report and believe this is the result of human actions.
“This type of an incident is very disturbing to the community members of Fort Saskatchewan and to the RCMP,” said Corporal Michael Robitaille. “We are asking for the person or persons responsible to come forward and deal with this situation.”
Police don't know if this was a resident's cat or a stray.
