Put another successful Taste of Summer Charity Barbeque in the books.
Hungry locals helped raise a total of $613 for the Fort Saskatchewan Families First Society (FSFFS) this afternoon in Legacy Park.
"It means the world to us, we can't do what we do in the community without people pitching in and with people coming out to support events like this it shows they have a role to play in the healthy development of this community," explained FSFFS executive director, Heather Boonstra.
The local non-profit organization help over 950 families every year.
The next Taste of Summer Charity Barbeque will be August 9, with proceeds going to the Fort Saskatchewan Furniture Bank. More details on the bi-weekly events are here.
