A new lady is in charge at the chamber.
During the Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Wednesday (Jun.6), board members elected Lynn Wilkinson as the new president.
Wilkinson has been a part of the chamber board and executives since 2016.
"I think it's a natural progression in terms of continuing the mission and the vision that we're going in. We need to have the business' flourish and then that works in continuance with families to be a great place for Fort Saskatchewan to live and work."
As the current general manager at Staples in the Fort, Wilkinson hopes to bring some new expertise to the role.
"I have a lot of business experience. We've done a lot of growth in the last year and I can perceive that to happen still going forward."
Wilkinson was sworn in by Fort Saskatchewan mayor Gale Katchur. She will be replacing past chamber president Mike Leblanc.
