Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) and the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP have laid charges against a local teen.
 
Police say 13 suspects have been arrested for child luring and similar offences following a series of investigations by ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit. One of arrested suspects was a young offender from Fort Saskatchewan.
 
The 17-year-old is facing three charges including possession of child pornography, arranging a sexual offence against a child and obtaining property by false pretences.
 
The alleged crimes took place online with a range of social media platforms and communications tools.
 
In a release, ALERT stated that arrests began in February (2018) and continued into October.

John Leskosky, Adam Turner, Steve Chaytor, Jonas Karadics, Wilson Misay, Jonathan Dahmer, Timothy Olsen, Ryan Wiggins, Dean Baker, Taille Marron, Yousef Ammar and Travis Irwin are the others facing charges.

All of the men have been charged with child luring and/or attempted sexual assault against a child.
