A large event this weekend just got a big boost.
The Kinette Club of Fort Saskatchewan has been awarded $2,500 by the City of Fort Saskatchewan for the upcoming 2017 District 4 Fall Leadership Provincial Conference.
This event will be held in the Fort from November 3-5 and attract almost 100 members from across Alberta.
"Training that we're going to be doing at our seminars like workshops, could be leadership, could be educational like risk management and different things like that to better ourselves as people and to help with different things in the communities," said Sheila Harris, Kinette Club governor for the district.
The Kinette Club's vision is to promote strong, healthy and engaged Canadian communities by hosting and sponsoring community service projects and events.
More information about Kinette Club can be found on their website.
