Over 550 votes have been counted for this year's big outdoor movie night.

Shrek will be the feature presentation during Co-op's Movie Under the Stars on August 18 in Legacy Park.

Starring the voice of Mike Myers, Shrek, took 27.64 per cent of the votes. Finding Dory was a close second (24.65 per cent).

“It will be a great night to get together with friends, family and neighbours and celebrate the talent of Canadians in the film industry. We hope to fill Legacy Park with people for a great show,” explained Jana Rowe, the City of Fort Saskatchewan’s community events specialist.

To celebrate Canada’s 150 years of confederation, the theme for this year’s Movie Under the Stars is 'Canadian Talent.' Canadian themed crafts, activities and movie fun will also be a part of the evening.

There is no charge for the event, it will start around 9:15 p.m.
