A little ‘light’ of Christmas inspiration can be found in Fort Saskatchewan.
Each year, Down 99 Avenue (near the James Mowatt School) there are two well decorated houses.
Homeowner Trina Lawrence would love to see the Fort create its own Candy Cane Lane, which is a well known attraction every year in Edmonton.
“We’d love to see anybody put up anything. Whether it be one string of lights, a blow up decoration, anything in the yard, we’d love to try to get everybody on 99 Avenue and the ring road to put something in their yard,” said Lawrence.
The house across the street from their place is also well decorated, however there is no competition, confirmed Lawrence.
“We both love Christmas. She does Santa’s workshop and we’re working to try to get ours to be a gingerbread house,” she said.
Lawrence claims they have well over 1000 lights in their display.
The family also puts on Howll'een Manor each year.
