A house fire on Becker Crescent was deliberately set.
 
The incident occurred in the Southfort area around 7:30 a.m. (Dec.5). A woman walking her dog noticed smoke coming from the home and with the help of a neighbour, they put out the fire with a garden hose.
 
Police concluded it was arson after they found an unspecified piece of evidence on scene.
 
Damage was contained to the exterior of the home and nobody was injured.
