More Fort Saskatchewan residents are staying home this long weekend.
Today (August 6), marks the first full sunny day of the weekend, more people are spending time outside with the many amenities Fort Saskatchewan has to offer.
"Today it's so nice we figured we would check out the Fort Lions Community Fish Pond, we have yet to have a bite but it's too nice of a day to not be outside and enjoy it," explained Fort Saskatchewan local Trevor Jackson.
Not only was the pond one of the many places with people enjoying their time, the boat launch had extended line-ups to get in the water.
Millers Ice Cream downtown also had a number of people stopping by for a treat to beat the heat.
