The Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce hosted the 33 annual Business Awards Gala on Friday night (October 20).
A packed Ross Creek Professional Building gave panoramic views of the Fort for the record breaking event that saw over 500 nominations pour in for nine awards.
The sold out crowd was treated to entertainment from The Whiskey Boyz after the awards and supper, catered by the Sawmill.
Fort Orthodotics were the big winners bringing home awards for Small Business of the Year and Customer Service.
Simply Stunning Hair and Makeup took the New Business of the Year Award, sponsored by the City of Fort Saskatchewan.
"I'm blown away, I think that everybody that was a finalist honestly deserved this and I'm just blown away that they gave this to me," said owner Lisa Crawford. "It's an incredible community."
The full-service hair and makeup studio has a photo studio as well.
"We help people feel good on the outside but we want to make them feel good on the inside too so that's why we get so involved in campaigns and charities because mental health is a huge issue in this world and we want to change that."
The finalists were Kinny's Sweet Retreat, Funky Petals and Hidden Gem Hair Salon.
