A first for the region in air quality monitoring, is coming to Bon Accord.

Fort Air Partnership (FAP) has chosen Bon Accord as the first location to place their portable continuous air monitoring station.

"In the next few weeks we will be outfitting our new station," said Nadine Blaney, FAP’s executive director. "So many factors go into deciding where the portable goes, including community input and where we have network gaps or emerging issues. Bon Accord met the most criteria from our selection process."

The station will stay in Bon Accord for several months, monitoring conditions from air quality to weather.

An exact location will be finalized in the next few weeks.
