Local fire departments responded to a wildfire near Lamoureux in Sturgeon County.
The six acre blaze was reported around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 3).
"There's a mix of scrub, trees and then stubble field burned towards the north. There's no structures and nothing that's occupied, it's just wild land," said Sturgeon County deputy fire chief, Brad Reid.
Six trucks and ten firefighters (from Bon Accord and Namao) were on scene to contain the fire.
Reid estimates the fire took about15 minutes to control due to the changing winds.
