In a modern twist, Elk Island Public Schools is offering digital school year calendars.
Parents can take advantage of Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar and iCal to keep track of their child's school schedule.
"All of your online calendars will sync up with the school's calendar," explained EIPS chair, Trina Boymook. "That is one of the things that is a great tool for families."
It fits right in with the rest of the calendar's on the device, allowing quick access when booking holidays, appointments and out-of-school child care.
Parents also have the option of printing off the schedule from their school's website and paper copies will be made available for those who prefer the traditional method.
Starting the syncing process is as easy as visiting their school's calendar page and clicking on the subscription method that works best for them.
