Sophia Phillips from Fort Saskatchewan participated in this year's Hair Massacure.
The eight-year-old cut off a whopping 13 inches for a good cause.
"I have lots of hair, so I thought maybe I could donate some (to cancer patients)," said Phillips. "I was nervous kind of, I was thinking about the people whose hair falls off."

Phillips had a goal of raising $1,000. With the help of 25 donors she was able to raise $1,115.
"It was amazing. I was a little teary eyed, it was a huge accomplishment to see her go through that and she was really brave about it," said mother Jessica Phillips.
The event took place in at West Edmonton Mall last month. All proceeds went to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada and Alberta Cancer Foundation.
