Strathcona County is ready to build.
As a part of the 2019 budget, council stamped their approval on a capital budget of $63.8 million.
Some of the largest projects for next year include final construction of the Ardrossan Park as well as design and construction of the Collingwood Cove lift station.
"That's what we're trying to do here, provide a solid foundation for our communities," said mayor Rod Frank.
With a main goal of maintaining and providing new county infrastructure, Frank was happy with the final turnout.
"A big role of government is to be fiscally responsible and allow the economy to grow."
Another major capital project slated for 2019 is the widening of Wye Road between Estate Drive and Clover Bar Road.
Strathcona County is aiming high in 2020, with a planned capital budget of $100 million.
