Tonight's (August 18) screening of Shrek for Co-op's Movie Under the Stars has been postponed due to adverse weather.

High winds and a projected thunderstorm created unfavourable conditions for the event.

"It's more the wind that we're concerned about," said Jana Rowe, community events specialist with the City of Fort Saskatchewan. "The storm is not supposed to be coming too bad, it's the high gust of wind and we don't want the screen to take off and fly away and hit somebody."

The event will now take place in September, with an official rescheduled date being announced next week.
