Bus service timing is a top concern expressed by riders in the Fort.
With no weekend bus service a top complaint from riders, the City of Fort Saskatchewan is reviewing its transit service.
In March council passed a motion asking administration to provide a status report before Jun.30.
“One of the biggest pieces of feedback we get from the public is wanting weekend services for both local and commuter buses,” said transit supervisor Anthony Dionigi. "One of our other big pieces of feedback we receive is to have more midday commuter service to Edmonton as well."
He noted that going to Edmonton on a Friday night and coming back to the Fort can be challenging.
The report will include information on usage data and cost recovery, current successes and challenges listed through user feedback. Administration will also provide recommendations for modifications to the service to address user feedback and options for enhancements.
