A 57-year-old is facing a list of charges.
Emerson Jones from Chipman was arrested and charged after a search warrant that resulted in the seizure of three kilograms of heroin, 61 marijuana plants and more.
Mounties said in a press release that the warrant was executed in September by the Alberta RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit North, with help from the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP, Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team and Canadian Border Services Agency.
Jones has been charged with heroin importation, heroin possession for the purpose of trafficking and cannabis production.
He is scheduled to appear in Edmonton Provincial Court on Thursday (Nov.1).
