The long-awaited re-engineered Cardiff Road is almost finished.
With the hamlet of Cardiff eager to see the road completed, drivers are now allowed to drive over the fresh asphalt.
"Cardiff Road is now open," declared Sturgeon County senior communications officer, Sheila Moore. "That's great news, it's looking great down there, the new path, the curb and gutter, the line painting is all done."
Though Mother Nature delayed the project by about two weeks, there's still a few things to do, like finishing up landscaping, something that might inconvenience drivers for a little while yet.
"We really appreciate the resident's patience throughout the project but in the end, they've ended up with a nice improvement to their community."
The remaining work to do should be completed before snowfall.
