Firefighters in Bruderheim are preparing for the worst.

Although the fires north of Bruderheim did slow down overnight, crews are expecting another long day of battling the blaze.

In a statement on Facebook, the Bruderheim Fire Department said: "We had crews remain on scene overnight in many of the problem areas. Fire attack crews returned to the scene this morning. Cool overnight temperatures definitely helped to slow the fire’s forward progress."

Families have been evacuated in the Range Road 204 area. As of 11 a.m. on Sunday (May 13), no homes have been lost.

The main fire is currently contained, but crews are expecting another hot and windy day.

Multiple flare-ups have already happened this morning. The Bruderheim Fire Department stated that the most volatile flare-ups will likely be between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

More to come.
