Bruderheim Town Council now has a handbook for developing municipal policies.
Before administration created the handbook, councillors had no go-to guiding book on how to write and implement policies.
The policies now guide what council does and how to handle local affairs.
"We were making policies but we didn't actually have a policy on how to make those policies," explained mayor Karl Hauch. "It covers something that we've been missing for quite a long time."
The guidebook will help new councillors adjust to the new job and clear up some confusion among remaining council members.
