Locals helped raise $16,000 for victims and families of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy.
Straightline Chrysler, in partnership with the Fort Fury girls, JV Driver and Mix 107 held a bottle drive last Saturday (Apr.14).
"It was amazing to see how many people came out," said Clark Hamilton, general manager at Straightline Chrysler. "The community really pulled together."
The event was conceived by the Fury girls and Straightline Chrysler's marketing team on Monday (Apr.9), and had gained a significant following by the end of the week.
Of the $16,000 raised, about $10,600 came from bottles and monetary donations while Straightline Chrysler contributed the rest.
"We do it to help the community and to help bring people together... Not everyone can afford to help or knows how to help, but everyone has bottles," Hamilton said.
