The Fort Saskatchewan RCMP are warning local business owners after an attempted ATM theft. 
 
Early in the morning on Friday (Mar.16), the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP responded to an alarm at a local business.
 
Suspects had broken into the building and fled after unsuccessfully trying to steal an ATM. 
 
The incident is still being investigated. For security reasons, police did not name the local business.
 
Local companies are reminded to take precautions to protect themselves, ensuring alarm and video surveillance systems are working and ATMs are secured in place.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at 780-997-7900 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
