Police are searching for a trio of suspects after a crazy incident involving an ATM machine.

On Friday morning (December 8) at around 4:38 a.m., three people attempted to steal an ATM from the Esso just off Highway 16 by Range Road 223.

The thieves attempted to drag the ATM out of the building by wrapping chains around it and pulling it with a Chevrolet truck.

After the chains snapped and the building was heavily damaged, the three fled before the truck was found nearby. The truck was reported stolen from Fort Saskatchewan.

Anyone with information is asked to call their local detachment or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
