Some Fort residents braved the cold to take part in the annual Walk of the Cross.
About 30 people took the 2.5 km trek from the fire station, across Highway 15 and back.
"We take the time out of our Good Friday to walk around town and pray for different organizations, groups and people in our community," said Reverend Chelsy Bouwman, Priest at St. George's Anglican Church.
After the walk, participants were invited to stick around for hot chocolate and cookies.
"It's important to acknowledge the unity that we have as a community, especially on a day when so much disunity is felt in the death of Christ," said Bouwman.
People of all ages and denominations were welcome to attend the event.
Easter is on Sunday (Apr.1).
