The Santa Claus Parade in downtown Fort Saskatchewan was another holiday winner.

On Saturday (Nov.24), 31 parade floats took part in the event, up one from last year.

Kids handed their Christmas letters to nearby elves, scored some candy and were most excited for the jolly elf himself, Santa Claus.
"It was so exciting," said Tamara Dabels, the executive director with the Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. "It was a really, really great year. I had so much fun!"

The parade is organized by the Fort Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. This was the 26th year for the event.
Dabels guesstimates there were about 1,300 in attendance.
Another edition is in the plans for 2019.
