Multiple hat tricks and a massive victory.
Sunday (Jun.10) afternoon at the JRC, the Edmonton Senior B Warriors struck early and often against the Blackfalds Silverbacks in a 16-3 win.
After a bit of a slow start, the Warriors held a 4-2 lead after the first period.
In the second period, former Young Harris College Mountain Lion Matt Spadafora capped off his hat trick. Greg Bourret added his third goal as well.
"Once we decided to put the pedal down we literally took it to them," said Bourret, who had a 10 point night. "Had the defence chipping in as well which is great to see."
The well-balanced attack saw nine different players score goals in the win.
"We keep running over plays and talking about having a set offence. We don't say get the ball to one guy, it's just get the ball to the guy that's open and that's what we really focused on and have been focusing on the past few games," added Bourret.
Lee Jackman returned to action after a few weeks off to pick up the win in net.
The eight game home stand continues for the (6-2-1) Warriors as they'll welcome the Calgary Raiders and Mounties to the JRC next weekend.
