It's been all sunshine and rainbows for the Senior B Warriors.
After two huge victories on the weekend, the Edmonton Warriors have moved to 4-0 on the season.
Saturday (May 13), the Calgary Raiders were greeted to Fort Saskatchewan by a 15-1 throbbing from the Warriors.
On Sunday (May 14), the red army welcomed the Calgary Mountaineers to the JRC and came on top with an 8-7 overtime win.
Falling behind 2-0 early didn't slow down the high flying offense, as Erik Turner scored a pair to even the score.
Before the first period was over, Greg Bourret would add his first of the afternoon, but the Mounties were able to take a 4-3 lead into the intermission.
In an unfamiliar situation, Edmonton was able to bounce back with a couple of highlight reel goals by Greg Bourret and Jordan Wheaton to restore the lead.
Up 5-4 going into the third frame, Darren Bourret's behind the back top shelf snipe and Dylan Johnston's quick stick game the Warriors a 7-5 lead.
Penalty trouble ended up costing the red army, as they served 11 minors in the game as the Mountaineers forced overtime.
In the extra frame, after both teams exchanged chances, Wheaton cut to the middle and fired home a laser beam over the Calgary netminder, sealing the deal in OT.
Jon McMillan was able to bounce after a rough first period to earn the win in net.
The Edmonton Senior B Warriors remain undefeated in the 2017 season, with a perfect 4-0 record.
Their next contest will be Wednesday (May 24) in Beaumont against the Outlaws.
