The offence was good, but the defence was better.
Saturday (Apr.13) at the DCC, the Fort Saskatchewan Junior B Rebels cruised through their preseason tournament with two wins and a tie.
In the morning, the Rebels tied 3-3 with the Edmonton Warriors.
The offence woke up for game two as they ran all over the Sherwood Park Outlaws, 9-1.
"It's great because right now our offence revolves around all nine guys and there's not just one guy we want to get the ball," said head coach Darren Bourret
Eric George and Markus Fouillard both had a pair of goals in the win. Goaltender Jacob Parent wasn't overly busy, but made some big saves in the win.
To finish off the day, Jackson Freeman was tested early between the pipes; he stood tall in a 9-2 with over the St. Albert Crude.
"Obviously ,injuries can happen, but knowing that we can count on everyone is awesome," added Bourret
Josh McCallion, Ethan Eang and Jordan Diewert proved to be too much for the Crude to handle, as the three of them combined for six goals.
The Rebels will open up the regular season against the Olds Mavericks at the JRC on Apr.27.
