It's been a busy week for Fort Saskatchewan lacrosse.

After a packed weekend of junior and senior lacrosse at the JRC, the minor Rebels have taken over this week with playoff action in the GELC.

On Tuesday (June 20), the novice Rebels dropped their first playoff game to the St Albert Rams 11-0. They now face the Parkland Posse in a must-win game on Saturday.

Also on Tuesday, the peewee Rebels defeated the Beaumont Raiders by a score of 4-2; they'll take on the Sherwood Park Titans tonight at the Glengarry Arena, starting at 7:45 p.m.

The bantam Rebels lost their game against the Westlock Rock 8-1, up next for them will be the loser between Sherwood Park and Leduc on Friday (June 23).

The midget B Rebels had a tough first match-up against the Edmonton Warriors. Edmonton came out on top with a final score of 7-4. Now, these Rebels will take on the winner of Beaumont and St Albert on Saturday at the George S. Hughes South Side Arena.

In female lacrosse action, the Midget Rebels dominated their first game with a huge 7-0 win over the St Albert Rams.

"It's great, the sports community in Fort Saskatchewan in second to none," said head coach Norm Maxwell.

Maxwell added that the whole Rebels family is very tight and supportive of every team making a run for a championship.

The female midget Rebels next game will be Saturday (June 24), at the Sherwood Park Arena, against the Parkland Posse, starting at noon.
