After an injury earlier this summer, Kirby Dach is looking to bounce back and make the jump to the WHL.
Dach had big plans of putting on some muscle this summer, but was set back just slightly at U17 Team Canada camp when he hit his wrist on the post ten minutes into the first practice.
"It acted like it was broken, but luckily it was only a strained ligament," explained Dach, prior to getting on the ice.
Taking a few weeks off to help the injury fully heal, this was Dach's first week back skating and he's feeling good.
Today (August 11) at Millenium Place, Dach was skating with other WHL hopefuls at a camp run by retired NHL defencemen Sean Brown.
"All of his experience is huge, you learn a lot skating with a guy who played so many years in the NHL. This is my third or fourth year now summer skating with (Brown) and I really enjoy it and know I've learned a lot."
Dach will head back to Saskatoon at the end of the month for the Blades training camp.
