Bruderheim's own Emerance Maschmeyer is having the best season of her pro career.

Maschmeyer's Les Canadiennes de Montreal are sitting on top in the CWHL and she's making a case for the league's top netminder.

After defeating her former Calgary Inferno squad twice over the weekend, Maschmeyer now boasts a 10-1 record with a 1.68 GAA.

"I've been waiting for what felt like a long time to play Calgary," said Maschmeyer. "Right now we're sitting in first and it's pretty amazing."

The Les Canadiennes are searching for their second league title in a row.

"The girls in Montreal were super welcoming and I found some friends on the team right away," added Maschmeyer. "It's a new opportunity and challenge for me and I think it's going well so far."

Maschmeyer is top in the league for goaltenders this season, ahead of U Conn standout Elaine Chuli and Noora Raty, Finland's expected starter for the Olympics.
