The Fort Sask Bantam AAA Rangers wrapped up tryouts with their annual blue vs white intrasquad game.
In a fast-paced physical contest, team white ousted team blue 6-2 after a four goal performance from Jayden Joly.
"We didn't really know what to expect, we've got a young team and not a lot of returning guys from last year," said head coach Nick Trudeau. "The guys that did come into camp this year we're really excited about."
Five goaltenders were put to the test, including returnee Bradley Mistol, who had a solid showing in his half a period of play.
Up front, Dylan Thompson stood out on team blue with his physical play and even generating some scoring chances.
"I think the tryouts were great, we pushed our guys really hard this weekend," added Trudeau.
Fort Sask will be looking to replace some big names from last season including possible returnee Olen Zellweger who chose to attend Okanagan Hockey Academy.
The 2016-17 provincial champs will start their preseason September 9 at home against Leduc.
