The Bantam CNN Spurs are headed to the provincial semi-finals.

With a 6-1 win over the Lethbridge Grizzlies on Saturday morning, the Spurs finished their round-robin play with a record of 2-1-0 at the Bantam 'C' provincials in Gibbons.

The Spurs were greeted by an electric home town crowd that kept them energized during the game.

"It's really cool because when we score a goal, the crowd gets really pumped and then we get pumped and then we start skating harder," said Spurs' player of the game and right wing Dylan Richter.

Brady Smith led the Spurs with two goals, while Dylan Richter, Brennen Kaiser, Dalton MacKeigan and Jackson Land chipped in a goal each to add to the team's win.

Now moving on to the semi-finals, the Spurs have some adjustments to make before tomorrow,

"We can do a little better on our breakouts, I mean they were, good just we can do better and a little bit better fore-checking and controlling the zone," said Richter.

The Spurs will take the ice tomorrow (Sunday, March 19) at 9:00 a.m. in Bon Accord to play for a spot in the championship game.
