It's do or die for the Fort Bantam Rebels.

After finishing the season with a 4-8 record, the Fort will be faced with a tough first round matchup against either the Parkland Posse or the Grande Prairie Thrashers.

With a young, undersized team, coach Greg Thornhill thinks it will take a big effort to make a playoff run.

"It's just about working hard, dedication, making sure the kids have fun and know what to do on the floor."

The regular season came to a close on Monday (June 12) night with a loss to the first place Sherwood Park Titans.

"I think our two goalies have done a great job," added Thornhill.

There were some more bright spots in the game with Codey Jacobson having a two goal night.

Game one of the single elimination playoffs goes Tuesday (June 20), in St Albert at 6:30 p.m.
