Fort Saskatchewan's AAA Rangers faced some ups and downs during the Western Canadian Bantam Hockey Championship.

The gritty Rangers went 3-2 and settled for bronze in the tournament.

Round-robin results:
- Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 5, Swift Current Broncos 0 (Thursday)
- Sask Valley Tigers 5, Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 3 (Thursday)
- Burnaby Winter Club Bruins 5, Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 2 (Friday)
- Fort Saskatchewan Rangers 4, Winnipeg Monarchs 1 (Saturday)

Sunday (April 2) marked the final day of the tournament and Fort Saskatchewan left it all on the line in a 6-3 thrashing of the Monarchs for third place.

Noah Boyko, Daron Cyr and Raphael Pelletier found the back of the net in the first period giving the boys in blue a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes of play.

In the second, Boyko scored the lone goal.

With both team's season coming to an end, the third period was a chippy one.

Despite being out-shot 26-25, Fort Saskatchewan was able to prevail with goals from Jesse Burchart and Alex Thacker.
Sebastian Cossa made 20 saves and Bradley Mistol stopped five out of the six he faced.

Five of the top 13 scorers in the tournament came from the Rangers roster including Boyko, Thacker, Pelletier, Burchart and Olen Zellweger.

Boyko's stand out performance of six goals and four assists in the five games earned him a spot on the tournament all-star team.

With a third place finish and top scoring performances, the Rangers finished a successful season on the biggest stage of bantam hockey.
