It was a tough outing for a local bantam baseball team.
The Fort Saskatchewan AA Red Sox tier one squad lost 16-5 to the St. Albert Cardinals on Thursday night.
After going 4-2 in June league play, the Sox defense wasn't up to par with the Cardinals offense.
"We made 11 errors, I don't think we've made 11 errors all (season)," said head coach Curtis Starko.
The game got out of hand early as missed opportunities cost the Fort.
"We're going to put this game behind us, go to Slave Lake next weekend and rattle off a couple wins," added Starko.
Next up for the bantams will be two games in Slave Lake on Saturday (July 15).
