The Ardrossan U13 boys soccer team is off to an outstanding start.
After a few weeks of game-play, they've won and tied, but haven't lost.
They also took home gold in the Spruce Grove Early Bird Tournament over the weekend. The boys tied North Glenora 0-0 and then topped two Camrose teams, 12-4 and 10-3.
"We hit our stride. We're gelling on our methods and systems," said Chad Stacey, assistant coach for the team.
Stacey told MIX 107 the team is learning to relax and focus on quick, simple passes.
"Some of the boys have been together for three or four season. We play indoor and outdoor so they've been growing up with each other."
The group represent Ardrossan, but have players from Fort Saskatchewan and the Sherwood Park area.
The team's goal is to get back to provincials. Last year, some of the boys won gold playing in the U12 division.
