A Fort Saskatchewan insurance professional has been recognized in a list of industry's female trailblazers. The annual list honors 35 woman who are making their mark on the industry and paving the way for the next generation of female leaders. The list was selected of a pool of nominations received from brokers, agencies, insurers and other industry professional. Catherine Cake of Drayden Insurance was one of the 35 woman who was included in the Insurance Business Canada magazine Woman of Influence report. Despite the challenges facing the industry, there are many success stories and the report highlights the accomplishments of these successful woman who represent the insurance best and brightest.
Catherine Cake says she was in the magazine and said " It's pretty neat, there's hundreds of people in the industry who have their names forwarded, and only very few that actually get their name in the magazine and its highlighting the accomplishments of the female professionals changing the face of the insurance industry." Cake went on to say it was a shock and was very exciting, with some big names it was an honor to be named among them.
Cake is unsure on who nominated her but is hopeful they come forward so she can thank them for the honor.
