Everyone is invited to join the Historical Society and experience an old fashioned Winter Festival and Vintage Snowmobile Show. Curling, skating, ice carving, taffy pulling, vintage snowmobile show and dog sledding are just some of the events happening this Family Day. The festival will take place on Monday February 15th running from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Fort Heritage Precinct and most of the day is free aside from $5.00 for the dog sled for adults and $2.00 for kids says Steward McGowan. McGowan went on to say there will be a second dog sled team so that more families get a chance to take a ride. The days events are weather permitting.
