There's a chance of a strong thunderstorm with a risk of a tornado on Thursday night (June 23), the Weather Network says.

Both central and southern Alberta could see funnel clouds develop with colder air aloft on the horizon.

"Large hail, powerful winds and even a tornadic risk are all on the table, so residents are urged to pay close attention to the weather alerts as the day progresses," the network said on their website.

There is currently no official alert for a tornado watch or warning in place.
