Two Fort Sask Falcons were selected to play in this year's Football Alberta Bantam Showcase.

Mason Hillyard and Ashley McMaster were chosen to play in the showcase under the Edmonton Wildcats sponsored team.

Hillyard earned a starting spot at linebacker, helping their team win 22-2 against the Edmonton Huskies sponsored team.

“[They] have worked very hard. They have been through some really good times, some really tough times and have come out as good leaders and good players. It shows with their selection to the bantam showcase team,” said Chris Malo, head coach of the Fort Sask Falcons bantam team.

Unfortunately, McMaster suffered a minor head injury in the lead-up practices and didn’t play for precautionary reasons.

Both of these players intended to go on to play for the Fort Saskatchewan High School Sting football team.
