Two Arsenal teams represented Fort Saskatchewan on the provincial stage.

Over the weekend, the U13 Girls (Thompson) team and U15 Girls (Crockroft) team participated in this year's provincial tournament in Edmonton, facing different teams from all across Alberta.

The U13 Girls managed to get three wins right off the start. They beat Cochrane 3-0, Sherwood Park 7-2 and then beat a Calgary team 4-0.

Going into the gold medal game, the girls were facing Spruce Grove. The two friendly rivals had been cheering each other on throughout the whole tournament before playing a hard-fought final game against each other. Fort Saskatchewan lost 3-2 but took home silver.

The U15 Girls won 3-1 for their first game in the tournament and then 7-1 in the second. They made it into the semi-finals before getting beaten 2-1 by the eventual gold-medal team.

The girls still fought strong in the bronze medal game to win 6-0 and walk away in third place.

This group of girls will be together again for the outdoor season as a tournament team.
