The Fort Peewee Thunder were on home turf last Saturday morning when they hosted the visiting Bombers. The Thunder got ahead by two touchdowns in the first quarter finishing off the game with a 28-6 victory. This win was not with out challenges during the game, during the first half of the game the team fell two quarterbacks due to injury but that did not stop the team from going for the win.
Coach Charles Thompkins commends both team on a game well played. When asked player Chase Tompkins says "We started of strong, it was nice, a few of us had some bruises and scrapes but everyone played hard" Thompkins went on to say "We need to work on our coverage and down feild blocking"
The Thunder will get a chance to work on their coverage and blocking this upcoming Saturday October 3rd when they will play host again, this time to the Buffaloes. Kick off is 10:00 am and Eldon Brown field, following the Thunder will be the Lightening at 12:00 pm.
