Georgia Leblanc is the most decorated athlete from Fort Saskatchewan High School this year.

Leblanc is a Grade 12 student who was awarded the Female Basketball All-star Award from Metro High School Athletics. She was also given Fort High's Basketball MVP, Most Improved Volleyball Athlete and 2022 Female Athlete of the Year.

Aside from volleyball and basketball, she also participated in track and field in Grade 10 and 11.

"I love new opportunities, I love any opportunities especially involving sports. I loved to be involved with the activities that high school brings," said Leblanc.

Upon graduating, Leblanc plans to attend a few post-secondary ID camps to show off her athletic skills. She has yet to commit to any post-secondary institution.

"I am going to be doing life guarding while I'm going to ID camps and kind of just working on my skill a little bit more while still having that time to work and become financially stable. When I do get to the position of hopefully playing basketball at the next level I will be in a good position to pursue that."

Leblanc is one of three athletes from Fort Saskatchewan High School that won a Metro Athletics All-Star Award. The other two recipients were Tori Radford and Grayson Reed.

"It's a huge honour to be able to be recognized for the stuff that I worked so hard for."
