Skip Elysa Crough repeatedly stole the hammer to lead Team Alberta's women's team to victory in their opening game of the 2021 world Juniors Qualifier now underway in Saskatoon.
With the game tied 1-1 after six ends, the team took one on the seventh, one on the eighth, and two on the ninth to put away Saskatchewan.
Fort Saskatchewan's Quinn Prodaniuk is one of the young curlers on Team Alberta, better known as Team Crough.
They play B.C. at 1 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov.23).
The winner of the bonspiel will represent Canada at the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships in Sweden next March.
