Despite their strong showing in the tournament, Team Alberta will not be representing Canada at the World Junior Curling Championships.
Alberta's Elysa Crough rink made it all the way to the finals in the women's World Junior Qualifier. They had a perfect record going into the game.
Their final game was against Northern Ontario. It was a tight match, but Team Alberta ended up losing the game 7-6 which pushed them into second place in the tournament.
Team Northern Ontario will be representing Canada at the World Junior Curling Championships. The games will be played in Jönköping, Sweden from Mar.5-12.
Fort Saskatchewan's Quinn Prodaniuk is one of the young curlers on Team Alberta.
