Strathcona County is about to begin spring cleanup on its roads.

Sweepers will work in residential areas during the day and on main and arterial roads at night, starting Sunday (Apr. 10). It's expected to take five weeks to clean all the streets.

Signs will be posted at least 24 hours before sweepers begin working in each neighbourhood.

Residents are asked to sweep their driveways in advance, clear the roads of obstacles like curb ramps and remove vehicles. Failure to do so can result in a fine and the vehicle being towed.

The sweepers will make several passes to clear the roadway.

A sweeping schedule can be found here.
