A man has died in a collision in Sturgeon County.
At around 5:45 p.m. on Friday (Mar. 11), Fort Saskatchewan emergency services were called to a collision between a pickup truck and an SUV at the intersection of Range Road 230 and Township Road 554.
A 36-year-old man driving the SUV was killed in the crash. A 12-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the SUV, was taken to the Stollery Children's Hospital by STARS with serious injuries.
The man and woman in the truck, both in their 60s, were taken to an Edmonton hospital by ground ambulance.
Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this incident.
After being closed for about five hours, the intersection has reopened.
