A snowfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada.

Heavy snowfall, totaling anywhere from 10 to 30 centimeters will hit the following regions today (Nov. 2):

  • Fort Saskatchewan and northern Strathcona County
  • Lamont County (including Bruderheim)
  • Sturgeon County (including Gibbons, Bon Accord, Redwater, and Namao)

"Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights in ahead and be prepared to stop. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow," Environment Canada said in a release.

The warning is expected to end later tonight.
